THE SPORTING CLUB AT MALLARD’S CROFT is a SPORTING CLAY COURSE PLUS A Premier Duck Hunting Venue.
The Sporting Club now offers an exciting 15-station sporting clay course hidden deep in the woods, surrounded by dramatic ravines, thickets, hills and lakes. The Duck Hunting Preserve prides itself on the quality of its blinds, accommodations, and hunting facilities, all working to provide a successful and enjoyable hunting experience. Every season we raise 6000 North American Mallards near our blinds with flora specifically selected to make our stock feel at home. We offer seven blinds with no more than 25 hunters participating in each hunt.

Our unique sporting clay course takes advantage of elevation, terrain and God’s natural beauty which makes the course more enjoyable. Whether you are sharpening your bird skills or having a blast with some friends and family, you’ll not want to miss this one-of-a-kind shoot. Pro designer and shooter Howard Cunningham helped lay out this course so it’s both challenging and fun, for the serious shooter and the novice. Various machines make your shots unpredictable, watch out for the fleeing rabbits in the rabbit patch!

DUCK HUNTING PRESERVE OPENS AGAIN OCTOBER 1
Hunts are held every Tuesday and Saturday morning from October 1 thru March 30. We begin each season by releasing more than 6,000 ducks in May. This ensures that the ducks are flying wild by October 1. We plant and maintain a variety of different crops and grasses to hold the ducks throughout the year. Most days will end early with limits taken by all (based on the skill of the shooters). Because we are a private preserve, arrangements can be made to exceed the limit of 4 birds per hunter. For an additional cost, we also offer skeet shooting practice sessions.
Drive In Hunt
$320 per Hunter
4 bird limit (maximum of 1 box of 25 count gun shells)
Arrive 1 hour before sunrise
Additional birds beyond the initial 4 are $40. Maximum of 1 box of 25 count gun shells per hunt.
Additional hunts available at 9am and 1pm REQUIRES a minimum of 8 hunters, call for private reservations
Overnight Hunt
$495 per Hunter

Accommodations for the night prior to the hunt (onsite in our bunkhouse or cabin or, if available, our 7 bedroom/5 bath farmhouse or 1 bedroom cottage)
